2009 HDT Rally Vendors

It is always a pleasure to have Kenny talk. Through a scheduling mishap, Dale Bruss did not do a presentation but had a table display of the Dri Wash family of products. Henry Szmyt, the president of ET Hitch, came to talk about his hitch that was specifically designed for the HDT truck. The ET Hitch uses four air bags and totally suspends the hitch plate on air. Henry also talked about his ET Jackalopee, a device to simplify the connection of an RV trailer to the HDT trailer wiring.  Basically, the ET Jackalopee converts the separate Turn and Brake signals in the truck trailer wiring to the combined Stop/Turn signals that an RV trailer uses. According to Henry, the relays used in the ET Jackalopee are more reliable than the semiconductor based Hoppy converter. Bryan Tillet, the president of Peterson Industries, the maker of Excel fifth-wheel trailers brought a display model and talked about his company. Bryan was very informative in the "why" than makes Excel a survivor in the RV Industry. A lively question and answer period. The Excel with a full-body paint job.   The characteristic Excel folding chair storage in the slide utilizing the space behind the couch. Philip Brokenicky, the president of New Horizons RV, the maker of New Horizons fifth-wheel trailers brought a display model and talked about his company. Phil was very informative in the "why" than makes New Horizons a survivor in the RV Industry. There was a lot of discussion of the new Majestic model that was just released. The new wide-body Majestic from New Horizons RV.   Neatly done wiring.   Phil leaving with the Majestic. Pat & Mike McFall talked about their PressurePro and Power Tank products. PressurePro is a well proven tire pressure monitoring system. Mike also talked about the Power Tank which a tire refill system that works well with the higher tire pressures on HDTs and the typical trailers that they pull. Space Craft Manufacturing brought a demonstrator of their custom coach work to Hutchinson again. This one was a brand new with lots of features. One of the interesting features of the model was that it was done in gray fiberglass. It gave the feeling of a full paint job. Another interesting feature was fiberglassed wheel wells so the bottom of the slides were not subject to road debris. While this Space Craft trailer does not seem ornate, each Space Craft trailer is totally built to the buyers design.

Some people prefer painted walls instead of the typical wallpapered wall found in most trailers.
