Disk Brakes (TS Option)

We actually believe normal electric trailer drum brakes work fairly well.  We choose electric over hydraulic disk brakes for two of the features of disk brakes, resistance to fade and self-wiping in rainy weather.

We also wanted disk brakes because they do not need continual adjusting like electric drum brakes require.

Our Electric/Hydraulic Disk Brakes came with our MOR/ryde Suspension system and is a Dexter Brake System.
Since we have air brakes on the truck, some have asked why we did not get air brakes or air-hydraulic brakes for the trailer.

Air brakes are a rare option for an RV trailer and they would not be disk brakes.

Air-hydraulic disk brakes could have been an option for us but we felt it might be a problem if we ever wanted to sell the trailer because it would restrict our potential buyers.
