Even if you do not plan on boondocking, you should plan to have some solar power just to counter the many parasitic electrical loads in your RV. This is especially true in a modern motorhome. Solar panel prep is the installation of wiring from the roof to where you would probably install the solar controller. It is not always easy to add this wiring later on. Travel Supreme has the roof end of the solar panel prep under a cap. Usually the solar panel prep kit has wire that is too small. We ordered the prep kit with larger wire. The order got screwed up; this is covered in more detail in Solar System. That coil of #10 wire was what Travel Supreme included in the solar panel prep. |
