Our location - Hopkins, MI
Hidden Ridge RV Resort |
After a couple of nights in Indiana on our way north, we crossed over into Michigan on I-65.
By the way, we have been successfully towing Tige and Sparky
behind Red Rover through Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan. Most, if not all, weigh stations
have been closed. But we have seen and have been passed by State Patrol vehicles with not a speck of interest in our
"train." Let's hope it continues!

Entering Michigan. |

Hidden Ridge RV Resort
is one of the most amenity-rich parks we have visited. It is only 3 years old. That means the
roads are paved, the pads are concrete, the electric power is perfect, the Wi-Fi is included in the rate, and the pool is sparkling! |

The entrance is wide and spacious. No problem getting in. No obstacles in the way! |
 |
Office and store. |

The sites are all back-in sites. They are good sized, The only negative is that about 2/3's of the sites are geared for
passenger side back-in, a difficult maneuver for Red Rover. |

Lovely landscape. |

This is the clubhouse. This was originally built as a residence on this property before it was purchased and
developed into an RV park. |

The pool!. It was blistering hot on the day we arrived. As soon as the rig was unhitched and the slides were out, we headed
straight for this pool. Our first swimming of the year. |

One of the reasons we wanted to stop in this area of Michigan (near Grand Rapids), was to visit Tom Edmonds. Tom and Mark served
together in the same unit in Vietnam 40 years ago. |
 |
Tom and his family moved here recently from Northern Virginia where he was very involved in organizing get togethers for the
"Blue Stars," their Army unit. |

Tom just had to take our pictures to remember our visit. |
 |
Tom came out to the campground to see the rig. |

"It's a small world after all...."
When we pulled into our site, we noticed a Travel Supreme that looked a lot like ours.
It turned out that it was the same Travel Supreme that was parked next to us at the Travel Supreme plant last year.
It is similar to ours in being a 2006 with similar floorplans. |

Ed and Mary Jo Andrews are full timers. They still hang around Michigan because Ed still does some hay bailing.
We had a grand time swapping stories and fixes and changes we each had developed over the last year. |
