There was construction improving the parking area around the Reception Building.
The adobe and stone buildings are offices made to look like early housing in the area. |

We walked down from the Natural Entrance and walked around the Big Room
(lower level). We walked for about 3-1/2 hours. You only have to
walk down as there are elevators to come back up.
We didn't take any pictures in the cave. The lighting is just not suitable. However Mark had some slides from when he visited
the Caverns in 1976. We made the slide show to give you an idea why you should come to Carlsbad Caverns.
