California Redwoods

On the way back from Klamath River, we stopped at Simpson -Reed grove to walk among old growth (about 1000 years old) Redwood Trees.  To say the trees are awesome is an understatement.  The size of the fallen trees made tem almost as interesting as standing trees.

We were glad that we stopped at the Visitor Center to watch the movie because we knew to be looking for the way the Redwoods regenerate themselves in clusters.
