USS Lexington CV-16

1/9/2013

Our location - Corpus Christi, TX

Aircraft Carrier USS Lexington CV-16

We had to go to Corpus Christi, Texas to see a specialist.  We decided to make a tourist trip too.  Anchored in Corpus Christi is the decommissioned aircraft carrier, the USS Lexington CV-16.  The Lexington served in WWII and was decommissioned in 1991

We didn't take many inside photos but focused on the classic aircraft aboard.

Elevator used an entrance One of the elevators used to bring aircraft from the hanger deck to the main deck serves as the entrance to the USS Lexington.

The bridge crossing the channel to the Lexington was interesting.
