In 1976 mark and his first wife were traveling across South Dakota
and on a whim, stopped at a auto museum from the numerous billboards
along the highway. Since we have been on the road, we have
passed Murdo, SD where the museum was. Marked always wondered
how the museum had changed. The museum was the
Pioneer Auto Show.

In 1976, there was just a few dozen cars, a lot of old farm
equipment, and some other relics stored in a barn and a shed
structure. These two photos are from 1976. |

Today there are 275 vehicles, more farm equipment, toys and other
historical items. Here is a Packard convertible just before the end of Packard and a big boat Lincoln Continental III. |

The collection is not of restored vehicles. The cars are pretty much as they were found but there was such an assortment that is was enjoyable to see. |
