We went to Astoria, OR to tour Fort Clatson, a National Historical Park.  The Fort includes a reconstruction of the winter encampment of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.

The attendants are dressed in period garb and get kids involved with the teaching process.

Fort Clatson NP The trail got stepper and was a challenge to walk of the tree roots that crossed the trail.

The trail was elevated in some places.
